Baby the white poodle had teary eyes and redness underneath the eyes when she first come for grooming in July. Mommy has been using Silky shampoo regularly and when she came for grooming yesterday, the area was dry and no redness! One tip that helps with teary eyes is to clean the eyes with dry tissue, not wet tissue! Wet tissue irritates the eyes further as there many chemical inside. Silky shampoo works as it has no harsh chemicals to irritate the eyes. The harsh chemicals in other shampoos irritate eyes and cause tearing. This in turn cause redness and feed yeast in the hair which turns brown in some cases. Google sodium laureth sulfate, paraben etc to see how irritating these common chemicals are.
